Are there any prerequisites for this course? +
No prerequisites are required to register. To hold a Level 2 certificate, WorkSafeBC requires that a worker has completed Level 1 training. The combined course satisfies both requirements in a single program. By completing the course and passing the Level 2 WorkSafeBC exam, WorkSafeBC issues you a Level 2 certificate directly. The Level 2 certification covers the Level 1 foundational awareness competencies, so no separate Level 1 card is issued.
When will I receive my certificate? +
Exam results are displayed immediately after submission. WorkSafeBC processes certification records and issues your certificate directly. Temporary digital certificates are typically available within 48 hours (2 business days). Physical certificates are mailed within 30 days.
What if I fail the Level 2 exam? +
Workers who do not achieve 80% on the Level 2 exam may book an exam rewrite. Rewrite fees apply and are separate from the original course fee. Contact us to arrange a rewrite booking.
Can my employer book for a group? +
Yes. The Level 1 + 2 Combined course accommodates up to 8 workers per session. Private bookings are available for employers who want to fill the session exclusively for their crew. Contact us or submit an intake request and we will handle scheduling, materials, and logistics.
Can you come to our job site? +
Yes. Onsite training is available anywhere in British Columbia. Travel costs are built into the quote. Contact us directly for a custom travel training quote.
How long is the certificate valid? +
WorkSafeBC asbestos certificates are valid for three years. Workers holding Level 2 only need to renew Level 2 at expiry. Level 1 does not need to be renewed separately. Recertification by exam only is available within 12 months of expiry for $99.95.
What is the minimum booking notice? +
A minimum of one business day notice is required. Rush and next-day bookings may be available depending on scheduling. Contact us directly if you need urgent placement.
