1 Asbestos Academy is a British Columbia asbestos training provider authorized by WorkSafeBC to deliver Level 1 and Level 2 asbestos abatement training. We also administer WorkSafeBC certification examinations for Levels 1, 2, 3, and S and coordinate certification pathways for workers, contractors, and employers across BC.

WorkSafeBC Authorized Level 1 & Level 2 Training
1 Asbestos Academy is authorized by WorkSafeBC to deliver the approved asbestos abatement training curriculum for Level 1 and Level 2 certification. Training includes the applicable course requirements, practical components, and examination process required for the certification level.
WorkSafeBC Exam Administration — Levels 1, 2, 3 & S
1 Asbestos Academy is permitted to administer WorkSafeBC asbestos certification examinations for Levels 1, 2, 3, and S. Examination outcomes are determined using WorkSafeBC examination materials, requirements, and answer keys. We administer the examination process; certification outcomes remain subject to WorkSafeBC requirements.
In-Person Training & Flexible Exam Delivery
Our WorkSafeBC-authorized Level 1 and Level 2 training is delivered in person. Level 2 certification examinations are administered in person. Where permitted for the applicable certification level, eligible examinations may also be administered through live online invigilation.
Province-Wide Coverage
Scheduled training is available through our Victoria and Surrey locations, with private onsite group training available throughout British Columbia. Travel requirements are built into the quote so employers can train crews where the work is.

Level 3 and Level S training is currently completed through an approved third-party training provider. 1 Asbestos Academy coordinates these certification pathways and administers the applicable WorkSafeBC examination. Full in-house Level 3 and Level S training delivery remains subject to WorkSafeBC approval.
