Comprehensive lead safety training designed to meet WorkSafeBC occupational health and safety requirements for workers who may handle, disturb, or remove lead-containing materials. Training covers lead hazards, exposure controls, safe work practices, PPE, respiratory protection, decontamination, housekeeping, containment, and waste handling.

Professionally designed take-home manual covering the Lead Abatement Level 1 + 2 program and providing a practical reference for workers after training.
Competency assessment
A written competency assessment is completed at the end of the training program to confirm understanding of the course material.
Completion certificate
Successful participants receive a competency-based Lead Abatement Level 1 + 2 completion certificate from 1 Asbestos Academy.
Group training
Sessions can accommodate up to 16 participants, making the course suitable for contractors, renovation crews, demolition teams, maintenance workers, and hazardous-material crews.

Work involving lead-containing paints, coatings, components, or other materials can expose workers to hazardous lead dust, fumes, or mist. Workers who may be exposed require appropriate instruction and training before performing the work.

The complete one-day program is available through Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) or in person. Private group and onsite training can also be arranged for employers across British Columbia.
Virtual Instructor-Led Training
Complete the full instructor-led course remotely from anywhere in British Columbia. VILT allows workers to participate live with the instructor without unnecessary travel. The competency assessment is included as part of the training.
In-Person Training
Attend a scheduled in-person session or arrange private onsite training for your crew at an appropriate location in British Columbia.
